• These fireclay sinks are hand-made, and therefore each one is individual. As there can be slight variations in the size and curves of the sink it should be fitted into the kitchen with the sink on-site. In the model with the weir overflow the area at the top of the overflow is glazed, but the glaze does not carry on down the overflow, making some of the inside of the overflow visibly un-glazed.(Note: The ripple effect, dimples and black specks within the glazed surface are all perfectly normal characteristics of these sinks stemning from the authentic techniques used in their manufacture ~ and are an intrinsic part of their distinctive appearance and enduring appeal. There may also be a couple of small blue dots in the glaze due to copper being freed during the firing). 
  As these sinks are fired on shelves in the kiln, and having the glaze sticking to the shelf needs to be avoided, please expect the glaze to stop just as the sides of the sink curve under to meet the base on the outside. Due to this there will be a small edge at the base of the sink that will be visibly un-glazed if the sink is installed with the front exposed.
