Sarlat Collection

Shop the Iver Sarlat Collection, a coordinated range of door and cabinet hardware with a classic design that works beautifully in Hamptons, French Provincial, coastal and beach-house interiors, as well as Federation and other classic Australian homes.

Sarlat has a traditional influence without feeling overly ornate, making it especially well suited to new renovations and new builds where you want hardware that feels classic but still clean and current. The collection includes matching lever door handles, pull handles, cabinet handles and door hardware, making it easy to carry the same design throughout the home.

Iver Sarlat Door Handles

The Sarlat lever has a softly curved traditional profile and is made from forged brass. It is available on a range of roses and backplates, allowing the same lever design to take on quite a different look depending on where it is being used.

The Sarlat lever on rose is one of our favourite options for internal doors. Its compact rose keeps the overall look clean and understated, which works particularly well in Hamptons, coastal and contemporary-classic interiors.

For a more traditional or substantial appearance, Sarlat is also available on several backplates including chamfered, shouldered, rectangular, oval and stepped designs. The chamfered and shouldered backplates are particularly good choices for entrance and external doors, where a larger plate gives the hardware more presence.

Depending on the individual model, Sarlat lever handles are available in passage for general internal doors, privacy for bathrooms and bedrooms, dummy configurations for wardrobes and inactive doors, and locking or Euro configurations for entrance doors.

If you're unsure whether you need passage, privacy, dummy or entrance handles, see our guide to choosing the right door handles for an explanation of the different functions and what to consider before ordering.

Matching Sarlat Door & Cabinet Hardware

One of the biggest advantages of the Sarlat collection is how easy it is to create a coordinated look throughout the home.

Matching Sarlat cabinet pulls can be used on kitchen cabinetry, bathroom vanities, wardrobes and built-in joinery, while Sarlat lever handles and larger pull handles can continue the same design onto internal, entrance and feature doors.

We particularly recommend Sarlat for Hamptons-style homes and renovations where the same classic hardware style is being carried through the doors, kitchen and cabinetry. The design has enough traditional detail to give the home character without making the hardware feel overly decorative.

Which Interior Styles Suit Iver Sarlat?

Sarlat is particularly well suited to Hamptons, French Provincial, coastal, beach-house, modern farmhouse and classic interiors.

It also works well in Federation and other traditional Australian homes, especially where you want something classic but slightly cleaner than a highly ornate reproduction handle. This versatility is one of the reasons we like Sarlat for renovations and new builds: it feels traditional without making a new interior feel dated.

The choice of rose, backplate and finish can change the character of the handle considerably. A Sarlat lever on a small rose feels cleaner and more contemporary, while a chamfered or shouldered backplate gives it a stronger traditional presence.

Iver Sarlat Finishes

Some of the most popular Sarlat choices with our customers are the warmer brass finishes, including Signature Brass, Brushed Brass and Polished Brass. These work particularly well with the classic shape of the Sarlat range and suit everything from Federation homes to Hamptons and French Provincial renovations.

The Sarlat collection is also available in finishes including Matte Black, Polished Chrome, Brushed Chrome, Satin Nickel, Polished Nickel, Distressed Nickel and Brushed Gold PVD, depending on the individual product.

Matching Iver Sarlat with Tradco Hardware

Iver and Tradco are sister brands, which makes Sarlat particularly easy to use throughout an entire project. Iver's corresponding finishes coordinate with the Tradco range, so you can pair Sarlat handles with Tradco hinges, locks, latches, bolts, door stops and other architectural hardware.

Some of the finish names are different between the two brands, so the matching finish isn't always obvious from the name alone. The corresponding Iver and Tradco finishes are:

  • Iver Polished BrassTradco Polished Brass
  • Iver Brushed BrassTradco Satin Brass
  • Iver Signature BrassTradco Antique Brass
  • Iver Matt BlackTradco Matt Black
  • Iver Polished ChromeTradco Chrome Plate
  • Iver Brushed ChromeTradco Satin Chrome
  • Iver Satin NickelTradco Satin Nickel
  • Iver Polished NickelTradco Polished Nickel
  • Iver Distressed NickelTradco Rumbled Nickel

This is particularly useful when you're completing a whole house. You can use Sarlat for the feature pieces, such as your door handles and cabinet pulls, then select coordinating Tradco hardware for the functional pieces such as hinges, latches, locks, bolts and door stops.

Why Choose the Iver Sarlat Collection?

We recommend Sarlat if you want door and cabinet hardware with traditional character that still feels at home in a newly renovated or newly built house. It's particularly strong for Hamptons, coastal and French Provincial projects, but is classic enough to work comfortably in Federation and other traditional homes too.

Its curved lever, choice of roses and backplates, broad finish range and matching cabinet hardware make it easy to use consistently throughout a home. You can use a simple lever on rose for internal doors, a more substantial backplate on entrance doors and matching Sarlat pulls on kitchen and bathroom cabinetry without making every piece of hardware look exactly the same.
