Door Pull Handles
From classic brass and iron to crisp black, chrome and nickel, door pull handles add a comfortable grip and a lovely finishing touch to an entrance or interior door. Our range includes single pulls and purpose-made back-to-back pairs, with traditional and more streamlined designs to suit the door you have in mind.
Start with where the pull will sit and how the door opens. A handle on one side may be all you need; for a door used from both sides, explore our back-to-back pull handles. These are designed to line up on opposite faces of the door and use the fixing specified for that set.
Choose a pull that fits your door
If you are replacing an existing handle, measure the distance between its fixing-hole centres. This is different from the handle’s overall length, so compare both measurements before choosing. For a new door, consider the grip and the space around the handle as well as how the finish works with nearby door furniture.
Fixing styles vary. Some pulls attach to the face of the door with visible screws; others use concealed or through-door fixings. The fixing type is listed in the product details. If you want a handle on each side, a dedicated back-to-back set is the simplest place to start. Our pull handle guide explains the differences and what to consider with face-fixed pulls.
Style and finish
An antique brass or iron pull can bring character to a period door; black gives a stronger outline, while chrome or nickel offers a cleaner look. You do not need every fitting to be an exact match, but a similar colour and sheen can make a group of door fittings feel considered. If you are fitting several matching doors, it is worth counting the pulls you need and ordering the set together.
For an entrance door, the pull is only one part of the arrangement: it does not latch or lock the door on its own. Check the chosen handle’s suitability for its location and plan the appropriate latch or lock. Our team can help you put the parts together if you are unsure.
Door pull handle FAQs
It varies by design. Check the product listing for the quantity and fixing supplied. If you need a pull on both sides, the back-to-back range is a good starting point.
Often, but the fixings and door thickness affect how the two handles are positioned. A purpose-made back-to-back set is more straightforward. See our pull handle guide, or ask our team about a particular design before drilling.
No. The pull gives you a grip; an entrance door needs suitable separate latching and locking hardware. The right arrangement depends on the door and the chosen pull, so ask our team if you would like help choosing the matching parts.
Not necessarily. Overall length describes the full handle; fixing centres are the distance between the mounting holes. If you are reusing existing holes, compare the listed fixing-centre measurement with your door before ordering.
