Schoolhouse Lights
What is a schoolhouse light?
A schoolhouse light has a distinctive curved bowl design glass shade, most commonly they are found on rod pendants however the shades can also be used on chains and batten fix ceiling lights. Schoolhouse lights originated back in the 1920's, they can be found in homes of Federation, Edwardian and Californian Bungalow architectural styles. The schoolhouse glass is typically and traditionally a white opaque glass, however some more modern reproductions are produced in a clear shade. Schoolhouse lights are available in popular finishes such as brass, chrome and patina (which is a dark bronze/black colour). Our collection of schoolhouse lights will make a beautiful feature in your authentic home restoration.
