International Women’s Day: Meet the Team Behind Restoration Online
International Women’s Day is a chance to recognise the achievements, skills, and contributions of women across every industry. We’re celebrating our amazing team - the women behind Restoration Online!
Hardware is traditionally a male-dominated industry, but at Restoration Online the day-to-day team you interact with is largely led by women. From processing and packing orders to sourcing products and assisting customers with their renovation projects, our team brings knowledge, care, and attention to detail to everything we do.
A Passion for Heritage Hardware
Located at the base of the Blue Mountains, NSW, Restoration Online is a family-run Australian business dedicated to helping homeowners, renovators, and builders find quality heritage and traditional hardware. Being an online store allows us to reach customers all across Australia, and we love helping with projects from city townhouses to rural estates.
Over the years, our team has developed deep expertise in traditional door hardware, window fittings, cabinet handles, and architectural details. Whether a customer is restoring a Federation home, renovating a cottage kitchen, or simply looking for the right finishing touches, we pride ourselves on offering practical advice and helping customers find hardware that suits their project.

Customer Service Comes First
One of the things we value most at Restoration Online is customer service.
Our team carefully checks each order as it comes through. If something doesn’t look quite right, or if items appear to be incompatible, we’ll often contact the customer before the order is processed to help avoid problems later on. Choosing hardware can sometimes be confusing, so we aim to make the process as smooth as possible.

We also offer services designed to make planning easier. One example is our Door Scheduling Service, where customers can send through their plans and our team will review them and help determine which handles and hardware are required for each door. Our team is constantly working to improve the Restoration Online website and make it as easy as possible for customers to find exactly what they need. From adding new brands and products to keeping product information accurate and up to date, there is always work happening in the background to improve the experience for our customers.
We’ve also developed features designed to simplify what can sometimes be a complicated process. Our door handle pages, for example, allow customers to select the function of their handle and add compatible locks, latches, and accessories depending on their requirements. By stepping customers through the different options, we aim to make choosing the right hardware straightforward and stress-free.
Alongside this, our team is continually exploring new systems and software that allow us to process orders more efficiently and provide faster service.
