Shower Taps
Traditional cross handles, porcelain levers and clean-lined mixers give you plenty of ways to bring character to your shower. Choose classic chrome, warm brass or nickel, or a darker finish to complement your tiles. Our shower tapware includes separate taps and heads, hand showers and exposed sets, so you can create the combination that suits your bathroom and the way you use it.
Choose your shower controls and fittings
A pair of wall taps gives you separate hot and cold controls, while a wall mixer adjusts flow and temperature with one handle. If you already have a shower head you love, explore our wall mixers and wall top assemblies for matching controls. Changing from two taps to a mixer usually involves plumbing alterations, so settle the layout with your plumber before ordering.
For a heritage bathroom, exposed shower sets make a feature of the pipework connecting the taps and shower rose. A separate head and arm offer a simpler wall arrangement. A hand shower adds flexibility for rinsing, while a rail lets you adjust the handset height; twin-rail designs combine a handset with an overhead shower.
Do you need a diverter?
A diverter switches water between outlets, such as a shower head and hand shower, or a shower and bath spout. Some twin shower rails have their own diverter, so an extra diverter on the wall mixer may not be needed. Choose the controls for the complete arrangement rather than adding a diverter automatically. For a shower over the bath, browse our bath taps alongside the shower fittings.
A finish you'll enjoy living with
Chrome and nickel sit comfortably with many traditional bathrooms, while brass and copper bring warmth to patterned tiles or simple white walls. Living finishes develop a patina; non-tarnishing finishes are designed to keep a more consistent appearance. The CB Ideal finish guide shows the differences within that range.
Choosing the same brand and finish collection gives you the best starting point for coordinating your bathroom tapware. When mixing brands, colour and sheen matter more than matching finish names. Our team can help you find a close visual match.
Shower tap FAQs
Not always. A rail or head may be sold separately from the mixer or hot and cold taps. Use the listed inclusions to put together the whole set, including any required in-wall components; a lifestyle photo may show fittings sold separately.
Keeping the same layout can make replacement simpler, but matching the appearance is not enough. Have your plumber confirm the existing connections, in-wall fittings and dimensions against the new tapware. Send our team photos and the details of the fittings you like if you need help narrowing the options.
Suitability depends on the individual fitting's pressure requirements. Ask your plumber to compare its stated minimum and maximum pressure with your supply, especially for gravity-fed or tank-fed systems. A larger shower head alone does not establish low-pressure suitability.
Yes. Contact our team with your preferred style and finish, whether you want an overhead shower, handset or bath outlet, and any plumbing details you already have. We can help identify the matching fittings and controls so you can order the parts you need.
