Crafted from mild steel and hammered into shape, the From The Anvil Medium Bean Thumblatch offers traditional style and robust functionality. This 210mm thumblatch, with its 140mm thumb bar and 190mm latch, is finished in a unique external beeswax, giving it a rich, matte appearance with color depths ranging from blue to deep red ochre. Supplied with matching screws, this thumblatch is designed and manufactured in the UK by From The Anvil.
The external beeswax finish provides a strong barrier against the elements, and we recommend periodic application of our Maintenance Wax for added protection. Regular oiling of moving parts is also recommended, especially during installation. For coordinating internal hardware, our beeswax finish is a perfect complement.
Please note: Due to the nature of the beeswax finish, there will be a tactile wax residue on the surface, which may cause black marks on surfaces, skin, and clothing.
