The night-vent feature allows you to lock the window in a partially open position, providing ventilation while maintaining security. This fastener is suitable for both left and right-handed casement windows, and can even be used with weather-stripped windows. The beeswax finish is applied by dipping the fastener into hot beeswax, preserving the beautiful colours left in the steel after forging, ranging from blue to deep red ochre. Please note, due to the nature of the beeswax finish, there may be a tactile wax residue on the surface, which can cause black marks on surfaces it contacts. For best care, occasionally re-coat your fastener with From The Anvil Maintenance Wax. This adds further protection and helps prevent rust or white blooms.
